School Stadium Stand Steel Structure Project for Henan Fudu Middle School
In 2025, Henan Fudu Middle School launched a campus environment improvement project to provide a better outdoor activity experience for students and teachers. The school planned to build a large membrane structure stadium stand on the sports field for sunshade and daily event use. Henan Jingtian was selected to undertake the steel structure fabrication and on-site installation work for this project.
Large-Span Stadium Structure With Challenging Installation Conditions
One of the biggest challenges of this project was that the rubber running track had already been completed before construction started. Heavy lifting equipment could not directly enter the sports field area, and the installation process had to avoid any damage to the existing running track surface.
To solve this problem, the entire stadium stand structure was divided into 11 independent installation sections. Henan Jingtian's engineering team developed a segmented installation solution, allowing each section to be assembled separately on site while maintaining overall structural accuracy and safety.
In addition, the height of the structure reached approximately 13 meters, requiring extensive high-altitude installation work and careful construction management during the project.
Tubular Truss Steel Structure Fabrication
Due to the large span of the stadium stand, the main cantilever beam length reached approximately 11 meters. To ensure structural stability and load-bearing performance, the project adopted a tubular truss steel structure system using Q355 steel pipes.
To achieve a lighter and more modern architectural appearance required by the client, the main transverse support beams were designed with curved tubular truss structures. This design not only improved the visual appearance of the stadium stand but also enhanced the overall mechanical performance of the structure.
Henan Jingtian completed the steel structure fabrication process according to detailed engineering drawings and strict production standards to ensure installation precision and long-term durability.
On-Site Installation and Construction
Because the running track could not be damaged, the construction difficulty increased significantly compared with conventional stadium projects. Henan Jingtian's professional installation team carried out the segmented lifting, high-altitude assembly, and structural correction work in an organized manner.
The entire on-site installation process was completed within 10 days while maintaining construction safety and project quality.
Final Result
After completion, the membrane structure stadium stand provided effective shading for the school playground and significantly improved the overall appearance of the campus sports area.
The project received high praise from the school management for both construction quality and architectural appearance, becoming an important part of the school's upgraded sports facilities.
