Project Background

This project is located at the entrance area of Zhengzhou Foxconn Park. The client wanted to build a group of entrance structures that could provide aesthetic appearance, sunshade, entrance guidance, and image enhancement for the industrial park.

As the entrance is an important display area of the park, the structure needed to be both practical and visually impressive. After project communication, the client chose a membrane structure building as the entrance architectural solution.

Design Solution

A total of 6 membrane structure entrance buildings were built for this project. Since the entrance areas were different in size, each group had different span and layout requirements. However, all of them were large-span structures.

To meet the structural requirements of these large-span entrances, pipe truss beams were used as the main load-bearing system for all groups.

Pipe truss structures provide good spatial stability and load-bearing capacity, making them suitable for large-span entrances, gate structures, plaza entrances, industrial park entrances, and public access areas.

The full project was completed by Henan Jingtian Membrane Structure Engineering Co., Ltd., including design, steel fabrication, and on-site installation in China.

Project Information

Structure and Materials

This project combines a membrane roof system with a pipe truss steel structure. The membrane roof creates a light, open, and modern architectural appearance, which is suitable for entrance areas that require strong visual identity.

The pipe truss beams serve as the main load-bearing members. Compared with ordinary single-beam structures, pipe truss beams provide better stability and structural performance for large-span projects. They also make the entrance buildings look stronger and more recognizable.
